Let us take
a quick look at the differences between the Oneplus 6 and the Oneplus 6T.
The Oneplus
6T have a slightly bigger 6.4 inches display. However it contributes with the
same Full HD plus resolution that we saw on the previous Oneplus 6, Keep in
mind that this phone has a slightly smaller 6.28 inche display.
But one of
the big changes on the Oneplus 6T is the smaller Notch, this one has a water
drop design that we've also seen on a few Oppo smartphones, these should appeal
to those who didn't like the big notch on the Oneplus 6.
Now the
other big change is a new feature called the screen unlock and now you have the
fingerprint scanner on display. It's no longer at the back of the phone like we
saw with the previous one.
Also the
smaller notch means that the aspect ratio is now 19.5:9 compared to 19:9 on the
previous Oneplus 6.
Design
Another
design change on the Oneplus 6T is that this one comes with Corning Gorilla
Glass 6 on the front, whereas the previous Oneplus 6 has Gorilla Glass 5.
The other
major design change with the Oneplus 6T is that this one doesn't have a
headphone jack. However the company is bundling an adapter for your headphones
in the box.
Now like the
Oneplus 6, 6T also has a glass body design. However, for now it's only
launching in 2 colors, which is midnight and mirror black. It's not clear if a
red or white will be
made and available later on.
Specifications
Another
thing to keep in mind is that Oneplus 6T is already running Android pie with Oxygen
OS on top. However that the Oneplus 6 is already got the Android pie update.
The
processor remains the same which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor
system. However, there is no 64 GB based storage variant. This one comes in 6/8
GB RAM options just like the previous Oneplus 6.
The storage
variants are 128 GB and 250 GB
Battery
The battery
on the Oneplus 6T is also bigger at 3700 mAh. The one plus six had exploded 3300
mAh battery.
Camera
Rear camera
remains the same on the Oneplus 6T, there's no triple rear camera setup as was
being rumored. It continues with the 16 MP + 20 MP camera specifications.
On the front
you still get a 16 MP camera which is the same as the Oneplus 6 but Oneplus has
made a change the software of the camera. It's added a new nightscape mode to
improve low light performance on the Oneplus 6T.
Overall
Oneplus 6T continues to be an incremental upgrade over the Oneplus 6.
